Hey everyone, just a minor update. Treatments are finally over with, and I can feel my energy, and most important, my motivation slowly increasing each day to dive back in to this project. I've seen a lot of changes in the NWN2 community happen, but this project is still something I would like to complete. I've been talking with a few of my old team members and they are still willing to help me out. Just to let you guys know, those who have been waiting, sorry for the long wait but finally I will start working again =)

Subject: Reason for lack of news
Security: Public
So lately as I am sure a lot of you have noticed, updates have been very sparse lately. First off, don't let this discourage you, as I have not given up on the project, nor has my team! However, after last post I mentioned I had neck surgery. Well the bad news is it turns out I have cancer, and its really just left me in a state of limbo for the last two months.

I haven't been able to work at my real job since early October, and work on the module itself has been very slow due to how tired and worn out I always am now. I still could use a hand with area building and writing, but come heaven or high hell, once I beat this cancer I will finish this project with or without help.

Anyway, I just wanted to let anyone know who keeps tabs on this where I have been, and that I haven't given up =)

Also, if anyone wants to contact me in the near future, I will be gone from Dec. 22nd until New Years on vacation. So if I don't respond, I'm not ignoring you! :p

Heres an obligatory unrelated picture just for fun.

Hi all. Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I just recently underwent some surgery on my neck which has left me pretty much exhausted and swollen for the last week or so. Before that I was not feeling too well either. My condition has not improved much, but I've been itching to keep at work on my module. This isn't a monumental update, but I do have a new pic for you guys. Its of the Shrine of Kossuth, which I have been reworking to be a bit more vast. See for yourself =)

Hi all. It has been a little while since my last post, but I have another fun picture to show you guys. However, I wont tell a damn thing about it until the module comes out :p It is really difficult to make this area, however I think it will be well worth it once finished.

Subject: Companion #11: Astalderea Nim'ohtara
Security: Public

Astalderea Nim’ohtara is a female sun elf with long, golden hair, bright yellow eyes, and nearing the age of 200, which is still quite young for an elf. Her demeanor is that of a benevolent matron. She is very authoritarian, but will risk life and limb for the cause of destroying evil. She is quite divergent from the rest of her race for a couple of reasons. For one, unlike most sun elves whom live in Evermeet, Astalderea resides in Athkatla. Two, she is often seen roaming the streets in blue and gold enameled full plate, with a large greatsword strung over her back. Third, she is a paladin, a job quite infrequently taken up by elves, as the strict nature of the profession is often too stifling for members of her race. Subsequently, given the fact she is a paladin belies the truth that most elves cringe at when learning more of her; she does not follow the gods of the elven pantheon.

Subject: And now, something completely original...
Security: Public
Hey all, this post will shy a little from the norm. However I continue to try and use this blog as a means of showcasing the working that is progressing. A first as recently been achieved, Taucer completely finished the first custom track for the campaign, and he gave me the go ahead and let you guys preview it.

This song will be used in a place the player will frequent quite often, and it is very important to Fianchetto. Hope you guys like it as much as I do.

Subject: My girlfriend likes the pub
Security: Public
Hey guys, I thought I would update again tonight (yes so soon) after having a 2 week hiatus. Recently my girlfriend finished some textures for some familiar taverns in Athkatla. TMorris went ahead and made the normal maps for them and converted them into usable models for the toolset. I lined them all up and took a picture. Have a look =)

Hey all! Been a while since I lasted updated, but I have been working on the campaign as always. I was just reading blogs of other module authors, and I have to say I am pretty excited for the future of this game. There seems to be quite a lot of high quality modules coming out. This game is paying for itself and more.

I am in a rather good mood, as a majority of my work in the last 4 days has been trying to connect complicated walkmesh into one, continguous path. I finally got it(two complicated areas), and can finally get to the fun part of area building: detailing. The temple district's layout is all but done aside from some finishing touches, I'll have an updated screenshot ahead. Also, the graveyard district, which was designed by our very own Trevor Morris, author of the BG2 GUI and easily my most productive member. Any of you who may be builders may notice that Trevor made a few custom placeables specifically for this area. 5 to be exact, though you can probably only see 3 of them from these shots. Anyway, enough rambling, let me showcase some of the new stuff =D

Subject: Temple District Redux
Security: Public
Sorry I have not posted in a while. I just took a different position at my job, which leaves me even more tired than usual. Though I am getting paid more and have a bit more freedom and flexibility with my hours, so thats cool.

Anyway, after a long time I decided to finally tackle the Temple District. I had a great builder a while back who was taking on the district, and doing a great job, but 4 months ago he just vanished from the internet completely. No one has been able to get a hold of him. Eventually I just threw in the towel and decided to do the area myself. I struggled with the decision on whether or not to do it in my own way, or keep in similar to BG2's style for nostalgic and familiarity purposes. I decided the original remake was the way to go. Have a look =)

The first image is the Divine Order of the Radiant Heart, an organization comprised of paladins of Torm and Tyr.

The second is just an eye-level view of one of the streets. The area still needs a lot of work, but I'm glad I got a good start on it.

Subject: Companion #10: Balzepho Bartennon
Security: Public

Balzepho Bartennon is a tall, well-built human in his mid twenties. He is fairly attractive, and filled with an excessive amount of bravado. Certain physical features about Balzepho stand out. First, his hair is bright blue. This color is almost unheard of in any races of Faerun, so it is likely he dyed it for fashion reasons. Second, his eyes have a glimmer of iridescent color in them, which is a slight manifestation of his study of wizardry.
Balzepho’s personality is similar to that of someone who has the attention span of a ferret. He is constantly futzing about on a whim, doing just about anything that pops into his head at the time. If something, or someone shiny walks by his eyes are locked on to that object (or person, typically female) like a panther ready to pounce it’s target. Often times his staring gets him into trouble, which he then has to resolve through fast-talking, or combat. He has a balanced mixture of arcane prowess, and martial ability which he prides himself in.
